Fellows will receive a one-year appointment** as a fundraising campaign manager in training at DialogueDirect. The work involves face to face fundraising on city streets and at private sites, as well as developing teams of face to face fundraisers.


After an initial 3 month stint in one of our Campaign Offices, the Fellow will be placed for a 3 month stint in another US City, or placed on a traveling team roaming to multiple cities.


** Fellows are at-will employees, meaning continued participation in the Fellowship program is contingent upon performance.

Responsibilities

We are looking for college graduates with fundraising experience passionate about working for a good cause and ready to assume managerial responsibilities early in their careers. Fellows selected to participate in the program will be trained in the principles of grassroots fundraising, team leadership, salesmanship, action for global poverty, and humanitarian relief. They will work as grassroots fundraising team leaders, raising funds and awareness about the work of our global charity partners. 

Qualifications

  • A strong ability to build relationships and engage the public
  • A commitment to public service
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • At least 5 years of previous experience as a face-to-face fundraiser or canvasser

• Candidates should have completed a four year degree 
• Applicants must have completed their undergraduate education by the time they start the Fellowship
• Candidate must have exceptional communication skills
• Prior face to face fundraising or canvassing experience required
• Candidate must be willing to work on fundraising campaigns outside of primary market for a minimum of 3 consecutive months (i.e. placed in NYC but willing to travel to DC) 
• Previous leadership experience strongly preferred
